Confidentiality Notice
Confidentiality is an important part of therapy. Any information shared during therapy sessions is treated as confidential and handled with care. There are, however, some limits to confidentiality. Information may need to be shared if:

-
There is a serious risk of harm to you or another person
-
There are safeguarding concerns regarding a child or vulnerable adult
-
Disclosure is required by law or court order
-
Professional consultation or supervision is needed (in which care identifying details are normally removed)

Where possible, these situations would always be discussed with you first.
Crisis and Urgent Support
The contact form on this website is intended for general enquiries about therapy services. It should not be used for urgent or crisis situations.

Similarly, the therapy I offer is intended for people who are able to engage in regular sessions and who feel able to keep themselves safe between appointments. Therapy is not a crisis service, and I am not able to provide immediate or emergency support outside of scheduled sessions.

If you are currently in a crisis, feel unable to keep yourself safe, or need urgent help, it may be more appropriate to seek immediate support from emergency or crisis services.
In the UK, you can contact emergency services by calling 999.

If you are experiencing emotional distress and need immediate support, you may wish to contact:

-
Samaritans - Available 24 hours a day on 116 123
-
You can also contact NHS 111 for urgent health advice

If you contact me during a time of acute crisis, I may encourage you to access these services so that you receive the immediate support you deserve.

Therapy can still be helpful once you have the right level of support in place and feel able to engage safely in therapy sessions.
